Hi, I’m Barb! I’m a physical therapist who’s been at it for more than 35 years - mostly in hospital-based outpatient orthopedic clinics. That means I’ve evaluated, treated, and talked knees, backs, and shoulders with probably thousands of patients over the years. I've seen a lot and know some stuff (seriously... a lot).
In 2019, I checked a big one off the bucket list and headed to the Big City to work at Boston Medical Center, helping an underserved population. This was extremely rewarding and full-filling on my wellness journey. My goal each day is to make a difference in at least one person’s life. (No pressure, right?)
Then came 2020. COVID. And while working as an essential worker at BMC and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, I also decided to go back to school at 52 (yes, 52 — cue nervous laugh) to study Integrative Health and Wellness Coaching at the University of Vermont (shout-out to Burlington, still obsessed). In 2022, I became a National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach, and in 2023 I shifted into concierge physical therapy & coaching — bringing together recovery, movement and mindset to help my clients not just heal, but thrive.
Now firmly in the fourth quarter of life (but still running hard, thank you very much), I’m on a mission to help others feel well, age well, and live with purpose — so your life-span actually matches your health-span. That’s what I call FLOW: Finding Longevity Optimizing Well-being. It’s personal. It’s practical. And it’s possible.
